# booui

> Catalog of 299 design systems, component libraries and UI toolkits. Each entry
> carries its framework, platform, license, owner, country of origin, GitHub stars
> and weekly npm downloads, and links to the official site, repository and Figma library.

booui keeps design systems in one comparable table instead of a link list. The data is
maintained by hand and refreshed from public sources: GitHub stars and npm downloads come
from the package registries, traffic estimates from SimilarWeb, and every URL is
re-verified periodically so dead and discontinued systems stay marked rather than silently
dropped. 213 entries link to a public repository, 26 publish a Figma library, and the
systems come from 60 countries.

## When to use this site

- Finding design systems for a specific framework (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, Web
  Components, CSS) or platform (Web, iOS, Android).
- Comparing component libraries by license before adoption — MIT, Apache, proprietary.
- Checking whether a company publishes a public design system, and where its
  documentation, repository and Figma library live.
- Judging how widely a library is used: GitHub stars, weekly npm downloads, site traffic.
- Finding systems by country of origin, or spotting which ones are discontinued.

Not the right source for: component source code, per-system documentation, framework
tutorials, or benchmarks. booui points at the official source for each entry instead of
mirroring it.
